Cullera is also a cultural and festive centre. Throughout the year, it hosts renowned events such as the Zevra Festival and the Medusa Festival. The Pirata Beach Festival and the Mediterránea Festival are also held in the nearby town of Gandía, just 15 km away.The neighbouring town of Tavernes de la Valldigna, just 400 m from the beach and about 5 km from the town centre, is also a regular venue for festivals, hosting the Del poble fest summer festival and the Festivern in December.These festivals, along with many other cultural events (such as paellas, popular festivals, Fallas gatherings, costume parties, sporting events) fill the city with music, art, culture, tradition and life.Let's not forget the popular festivals, both in summer and winter, when the town takes to the streets to enjoy culture, folklore, local cuisine and many other cultural events, such as the FALLAS, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the Holy Week processions.
